Stay at home jobs seem like a no brainer. Zero commuting costs, you can avoid all those pesky colleagues AND you get to work in your pajamas!

When I decided to leave my corporate job two years ago, I knew I wanted a job that would allow me to be location independent…but I didn’t know what type of job that was.

After a lot of trial and error (and a lot of hand wringing and snotty tear-filled tissues….), I now earn more working online than I did working in my old job.

Not having to commute gives me more free time to pursue my passions and I save money by not having to pay for commuting costs too!

Last but not least – I look forward to every Monday, as I can work in a country and environment of my choice.

1.Tutoring online

If you have a knack for helping people learn – this is the job for you. It is one of the best stay at home jobs out there.

You don’t even need to be a teacher (although it helps).

You can teach anything you are skilled at, for example English, the guitar, singing, math, you name it!

How to get started as an Online Teacher :

Depending on the existing skills you have, getting some form of teaching qualification would be helpful.

For example, to teach English online, it’s useful to get a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. You can study for this certificate online and in your own free time in the evening and weekends.

There is a 120-hour online course ran by Let’s TEFL, which provides a whole module on online teaching and specific training to ensure your application, resumes, introduction videos for recruiters, is done right.
