How To Get Paid To Follow People On Instagram?
So can you get paid to follow someone on Instagram? There are two ways to look at it.
If you think about just clicking a button and money will roll in, then the answer is no; you can’t make money this way.
On the other hand, you can earn money on Instagram by taking a few more steps than just following people. So here’s how you do it.
Step 1: Follow an account of a niche you like, preferably an account you know is doing well and making money from Instagram.
Step 2: Study and analyze the account. See what they are doing and pick up on what works & what does not work for them.
Step 3: Write down your skills and expertise in this niche.
Step 4: Replicate the strategies of the accounts you are following and apply your skills and expertise on the niche into reels, posts, and stories on Instagram.
Step 5: Network and engage with other followers of the influencers you are following and be sure to engage with everyone who follows your account and engages with your content.
This is one way to “like follow and earn money” on Instagram, as it will grow your influence on the platform and build a substantial following, then leverage it for monetization opportunities.

How Much Can Instagram Influencers Make?
Instagram influencers can make anywhere between a few dollars to a million dollars per post.
How much Instagram influencers get paid depends on their number of followers, engagement rate, credentials, marketing strategy, and, most importantly, how often they show up for their audience.
According to a study by HypeAuditor, here is the average revenue an influencer can make per month based on account size.
- Nano-influencer (1,000–10,000 followers): $1,420
- Micro-influencer (10,000–50,000 followers): $2,061
- Mid-tier influencer (50,000–500,000 followers): $3,517
- Macro-influencer (500,000–1 million followers): $5,847
- Mega-influencer (1 million+ followers): $15,356
It’s important to note that these earnings will vary depending on the different categories of the influencer’s niche.
A significant percentage of these earnings comes from brand deals, so an influencer’s earning potential depends on how well they can negotiate brand deals.
But how to make money on Instagram without followers in the tens of thousands? Can I still make a decent buck?
Absolutely! I made $8,970 from coaching alone from my Instagram community. At the time, my followers were less than 5,000, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a lot of followers.

How To Get Paid On Instagram?
1. Make Money From Sponsored Posts
How to get paid to follow people on Instagram? One way to get paid on Instagram is through brand partnerships. If you are wondering how do influencers make money on Instagram? Brands will work with influencers to create and post sponsored content to help promote their products or services.
You can make thousands of dollars from one sponsored post alone, but you would need to grow your community first and generate a strong engagement from your followers.
If you do choose the route of brand sponsorship, it is essential that you are in tune with your audience. Partner up with brands that match your niche and what would best serve your audience.
Avoid selling out as much as you can, as posting things opposite to your brand and beliefs can hurt your credibility and the trust of your followers.
If you have built a strong community on Instagram, big brands will notice you and approach your organically.
You can also reach out to brands directly through pitching. Explain your business and your audience’s interest and why you would be a good fit to represent the brand.
2. Affiliate Marketing
Similar to sponsorship, affiliate marketing is another way to earn from Instagram.
You get paid to market other people’s products, but unlike brand sponsorship, where you get an upfront payment for a post, you will only get paid if people buy the product with affiliate marketing.
You essentially earn a commission when your followers purchase the product or service you’re promoting, usually using a specific link or discount code.
Instagram doesn’t allow you to put links in your post, so use a mixture of clickable links in your bio and Instagram Stories. Use the brand’s promo codes tailored to you to ensure you receive the affiliate income.
If you opt for this route, remember that you need to make sales without annoying your audience. So be selective of your affiliate program and have a solid strategy for what you want to promote.

3. Coaching
Another great way to make money from Instagram is by offering coaching services.
If you are good at something, why not make money by teaching your expertise to help other people?
The great thing about this strategy is that you don’t need tens of thousands of followers. You can do it with a small but engaged community.
My coaching session now runs at $897, where I provide personal coaching for new and experienced bloggers, giving them a step-by-step plan to start making money from blogging and providing an in-depth traffic and blog revenue audit.
I release my coaching session (usually ten slots) exclusively to my community on Instagram first, and It usually gets fully booked within less than 24 hours. So that is $8,970 in sales in a day!

4. Sell Your Own Product (e-commerce store)
Use Instagram as a marketing platform to sell your own products. Whether you have a physical or digital product, you can promote it to your community and create a revenue stream from there.
I have sold many of my digital products through Instagram, and I’ve also been able to promote my mom’s baked goods and my sisters’ sustainability products there.
By selling your own product, you can curate your Instagram feed however you like and not worry about the posting requirements of having to do a sponsored post.
You can direct your community to your e-commerce link by posting your products on your stories or clicking the links in your bio.
5. Start an Instagram Shop
How to monetize on Instagram Shop? If you already have an e-commerce store, you can easily integrate it with Instagram Shop.
You can promote your products to your followers through Stories, Posts, the Explore tab, and the Shop tab on your profile.
This feature on Instagram allows your followers to easily browse your product and place their orders right on the app.
How it works is you can tag your products like you would tag a friend, and users can see the product’s price by just tapping the photo. Further tapping the product labels will take them to the product pages.
The product page features relevant information on your products with a link to view the product on your website and displays relevant products.
Setting up an Instagram shop is free, but if you have the “checkout on Instagram” feature, Instagram does impose a processing fee as customers make purchases directly on the app.

6. Sell Photos Online
Is your grid filled with amazing pictures like breathtaking landscapes or eye-catching visuals of products? There is a big chance you can fall into the category of people who makes money on Instagram through photography.
At the core of it, Instagram is a photo-sharing app, so millions of people come to the app and browse an endless sea of photos. Treat your photos like an asset so you can license or sell them in various ways.
Use Instagram as a platform to promote your portfolio, then add a link in your bio for your followers to buy your photos online. You can sell your photos at FOAP, Alamy, and Shutterstock sites.
Prints and other physical products are also a great way to sell photos. Just set up an Instagram Shop like the previous step and start selling.
A third way to monetize your photography is through commissions. Include in your bio that you are available for hire for photo shoot jobs or any potential visual projects.

7. Monetize Your Content
Can you make money on Instagram with likes? Well, not directly, but you can make money if your followers like you! Here’s how! You can get paid when going live with badges.
Followers can support their favorite creators during a live broadcast by buying badges. They can purchase multiple badges in increments of One heart for $0.99, Two hearts for $1.99, and Three hearts for $4.99.
Remind your viewers that the badges are enabled during your Live, and also remember to share a goal for your Live by pinning it as a comment. Goals encourage your followers to feel more involved and purchase badges.
Be sure to acknowledge your followers that support you by giving them a shout-out during your Live.
Another way to make money from your content is by Instagram Bonus. With this feature, you can earn money from your Reels Play, so the more views your reels get, the more you can earn.
So how to turn on monetization on Instagram for this Bonus feature?
Instagram Reels Play is by invitation only for US creators with less than one million followers. Once eligible, you will receive a notification invite to activate this bonus within the app.
8. Sell Your Preloved Items
Selling your preloved items is another easy way to earn from Instagram. You can snap a picture and share a story on your account of what you want to sell.
You can also sell items from your content. There is a creator that buys lost mail packages and unboxes them for views. She will then sell them back to her followers to buy at a lower price on her Poshmark account.
So you can use Instagram to advertise what you are selling and direct your buyers to resale sites or do a direct transaction on the Instagram account itself.
