So can you get paid to follow someone on Instagram? There are two ways to look at it. 

If you think about just clicking a button and money will roll in, then the answer is no; you can’t make money this way.

On the other hand, you can earn money on Instagram by taking a few more steps than just following people. So here’s how you do it.

Step 1: Follow an account of a niche you like, preferably an account you know is doing well and making money from Instagram.

Step 2: Study and analyze the account. See what they are doing and pick up on what works & what does not work for them.

Step 3: Write down your skills and expertise in this niche.

Step 4: Replicate the strategies of the accounts you are following and apply your skills and expertise on the niche into reels, posts, and stories on Instagram.

Step 5: Network and engage with other followers of the influencers you are following and be sure to engage with everyone who follows your account and engages with your content.

This is one way to “like follow and earn money” on Instagram, as it will grow your influence on the platform and build a substantial following, then leverage it for monetization opportunities.

It’s important to note that these earnings will vary depending on the different categories of the influencer’s niche. 

A significant percentage of these earnings comes from brand deals, so an influencer’s earning potential depends on how well they can negotiate brand deals.

If you do choose the route of brand sponsorship, it is essential that you are in tune with your audience. Partner up with brands that match your niche and what would best serve your audience. 

Avoid selling out as much as you can, as posting things opposite to your brand and beliefs can hurt your credibility and the trust of your followers. 

If you have built a strong community on Instagram, big brands will notice you and approach your organically. 

You can also reach out to brands directly through pitching. Explain your business and your audience’s interest and why you would be a good fit to represent the brand.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Similar to sponsorship, affiliate marketing is another way to earn from Instagram.

I have sold many of my digital products through Instagram, and I’ve also been able to promote my mom’s baked goods and my sisters’ sustainability products there.

By selling your own product, you can curate your Instagram feed however you like and not worry about the posting requirements of having to do a sponsored post.

You can direct your community to your e-commerce link by posting your products on your stories or clicking the links in your bio.

5. Start an Instagram Shop

You can promote your products to your followers through Stories, Posts, the Explore tab, and the Shop tab on your profile.

How it works is you can tag your products like you would tag a friend, and users can see the product’s price by just tapping the photo. Further tapping the product labels will take them to the product pages.

The product page features relevant information on your products with a link to view the product on your website and displays relevant products.

Setting up an Instagram shop is free, but if you have the “checkout on Instagram” feature, Instagram does impose a processing fee as customers make purchases directly on the app.

Followers can support their favorite creators during a live broadcast by buying badges. They can purchase multiple badges in increments of One heart for $0.99, Two hearts for $1.99, and Three hearts for $4.99.

Remind your viewers that the badges are enabled during your Live, and also remember to share a goal for your Live by pinning it as a comment. Goals encourage your followers to feel more involved and purchase badges. 

Be sure to acknowledge your followers that support you by giving them a shout-out during your Live.

2. Teasers And Countdowns For New Launches
