AI Told Me Not To Worry About AI 😂

Before I begin, many of you voted in a poll that you wanted me to share: ‘ The biggest financial mistake I made in 2024.’

Without saying too much, now lawyers are involved, and we may be moving to litigation soon, so give me some time to let it play out.

Once everything is done and dusted in the next 6 months, I will share if you are still here, reading these emails!

Now, let’s talk about AI.

Lately, I keep hearing people talk about “AI agents.”

Everywhere.

On Twitter. On podcasts. In newsletters. From people I hugely admire and respect.

I also hear: If you don’t learn AI NOWWWWWW, you are going to get left behind, and they are going to replace your job/business/life!!!!

This urgency makes my blood pressure rise, as I sit watching my daughter try to steal cat treats from Sandy, our cat, and smear banana in our beige carpet (who buys beige carpets? Idiots, that’s who, idiots who had no idea about kids to be exact, – that’s me!)

And if I’m being honest…

It made me feel a bit panicked.

Like maybe I’m falling behind.

Maybe the way I’m working is outdated?

Too manual. Inefficient.

While everyone else is building these advanced, automated systems.

So I did what everyone does now.

I asked AI 😅

I literally asked:

“Am I falling behind because I’m not using AI agents?”

And it gave me a very calm, reassuring answer.

A lot of the noise around “AI agents” isn’t what it seems.

Most people talking about them are:

Not actually using them fully.

Or using very basic automation… and dressing it up as something more advanced.

Or they have full, uninterrupted workdays to experiment and optimize everything.

That’s not real life for most people.

It’s definitely not my reality right now.

I don’t have endless hours to build complex systems.

My work happens in small pockets of time.

And that made me realize something important.

You don’t need a complex AI setup to “catch up.”

Because at the end of the day…

My business doesn’t grow because of tools.

It grows because of a few simple things:

Writing.
Sharing.
Connecting.

And there are things AI simply can’t replace.

It can’t replace the hundreds (or thousands) of real reviews I’ve received from readers over the years.

It can’t replace the personal conversations I’ve had — online and in person — with my community. (These become evergreen relationships that support my business for YEARS, they buy my products again and again and again )

It can’t replicate my real experiences, my travels, my photos, my perspective.

It can’t replace how you make someone FEEL

Errr yeah! do you make someone FEEL hope and inspiration and motivation when talking about AI, or make them feel panicked and hopeless and judged?? (90% of content creators have fallen into the latter )

And it definitely can’t replace the human struggles behind all of this.

The doubts.
The pivots.
The figuring things out as I go.

Or the connection that comes from sharing that with other people.

AI can support what I do.

But it can’t be me.

Before you, AI evangelists, roll your eyes and pronounce me a lost cause

I am not against AI, in fact, when I have more time, I would LOVE to learn how to use it more efficiently to save me time and money in my business

But I want to learn simple hacks to automate things I am already doing, in a calm way that doesn’t stress me out

Like … how I learned how to create images with Midjourney for Pinterest (game changer!)

I want to learn how to create a sales page with AI and import it into my site

I want to learn how to analyze my emails and write better emails for all of you

How about creating top-performing pins that are already doing well? Is there an AI tool for that?

I use Magic Media on Canva now, but I have to use my human brain to analyze, create, and replicate a top-performing pin for a certain keyword in Canva. (Any AI tips for this are welcome!)

The more I see everything becoming automated…

The more I believe this:

Human businesses are still HUGELY profitable

Not the most complex.

Not the most “optimized.”

The ones that are:

  • real
  • consistent
  • and actually connect with people

So instead of trying to “keep up” with everything new…

I’ve been asking myself a different question:

What actually moves my business forward?

For me, it’s still:

  • writing emails
  • creating simple content
  • building products
  • connecting with my audience

Not chasing every new tool.

And honestly, that’s been a bit of a relief.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re falling behind because of AI…

You’re not alone.

But you’re also probably not as behind as you think.

ALSO, something that hugely reassures me is that WHEN I have the capacity to learn more about AI, I can! (so can you)

All this panic-urgency about you falling behind, and you’d better learn it now! ….creates chaos.

And chaos creates unproductive confusion.

Let’s say in 18 months, you decide to dedicate every evening for 4 weeks to learning AI, you will catch up no problem! I truly believe that.

Let the dust settle and give yourself time and space to learn in a calm manner

I’m curious:

Have you felt this pressure around AI lately?

Or are you just ignoring it completely?

Or do you have a really cool system or way of using AI that has transformed your business for the better? (HELLO, I’m open to learning!, Please share)

Just hit reply and tell me.

I read every response.
